Biography

Before joining the Cayco-Gajic team, I completed my PhD with Julijana Gjorgjieva at the Technical University of Munich and a postdoc with Gilles Laurent at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research. My BSc and MSc were in computer science, and I also have experience as a professional software engineer.

During my PhD and first postdoc, I studied reptile brains, from cortical dynamics in turtles to multi-area coordination during lizard sleep, seeking general principles of brain function from an evolutionary perspective.

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow of the Human Frontier Science Program, where I explore how multi-area dynamics evolve during motor learning. I develop computational analysis methods and models closely grounded in experimental data.
